Good friends for 20 years (Part 2)

11/27/2014, The Freundeskreis (Circle of Friends) of Hamburg’s Haus der Photographie is celebrating its 20 year jubilee on December 5 - 6, 2014. On the second day of the event there will be a symposium titled Was geht? Die Zukunft der Fotografie (What goes? The future of photography), with many presentations and talks.

After the opening words and introduction by Ulrich Rüter of the Board of the Freundeskreises, and Ingo Taubhorn Curator of the Haus der Photographie Deichtorhallen, the artistic manager of the 2015 Hamburg Photography Triennial, Krzysztof Candrowicz, will talk about his plans for the Hamburg photo festival to take place next year.

Among other presentations made during the symposium, photo journalist Michael Hauri will speak about the photographer as a multi-medial story teller. In her presentation Documenting Fiction vs Fictionizing Reality, photographer Cristina de Middel turns reality upside down, and introduces pictures from her The Afronauts series.
