A week on the streets of New York

08/07/2015, A street photography workshop with Joseph Michael Lopez is taking place in New York from September 7 to 13, 2015. The week-long course with the Leica photographer is organized by Spazio Labo, the Italian Photography Centre.

In this intensive course, Joseph Michael Lopez will be helping a maximum of twelve participants to develop their own imagery and a style of picture-taking that suits their personalities. The focus will be on picture composition and a good feel for lighting.

Joseph Michael Lopez was born in New York in 1973. He began working as an analogue documentary film maker and then taught himself photography. Without any previous certificate and based on his portfolio, he was accepted to study photography at Columbia University in 2009. He graduated in 2011. Lopez now works as a photographer on his own long-term projects and on commissioned assignments.
