Equipped with an M240, Alejandro Cegarra accompanied the urn containing Castro’s ashes on its four-day journey through Cuba to its final resting place. In this manner, Cubans in all parts of the country had the chance to say farewell to their “Comandante en Jefe”. When the column of cars finally reached Santiago de Cuba, hundreds of thousands were on the city’s streets and roof tops, paying their last respects to Castro.
