Info

In 2015, Edouard Elias documented the lives of French Foreign Legion soldiers at their base in Nîmes. The photographer shows the legionnaires during their strickly regimented everyday life, and few moments of quiet. During their first five years in the troop, young members of the foreign legion are forbidden to leave the barracks without wearing their uniforms. Back in 2014, Edouard Elias already accompanied the foreign legion during their intervention in the Central African Republic.
