Seduction

01/09/2017, Photographers wishing to submit works for the 2017 Marta Hoepffner Prize for Photography can do so up until February 25, 2017. The theme for this competition is ‘seduction’ – whether in the arts, eroticism, politics, religion or advertising.

With this prize, the Marta Hoepffner-Gesellschaft für Fotografie e.V. (Photographic Association) wants to encourage artistic black and white photography, and support professional newcomer photographers in this field. Trained photographers and artists who have been practicing professionally for five years or less, as well as students in their 4th semester and trainees in their final year, are invited to participate.

The award comes with prize money amounting to 3000 euros, and is granted every three years. The last winner was Christian Retschlag (2014), whose work questioned serial photography.
