A day with David Bowie

09/19/2017, On September 30, 2017, the Camera Work gallery in Berlin is extending an invitation to its David Bowie Day. The CAMERA WORK gallery is focussing all its attention on David Bowie, with a selection of the most internationally renown portraits of the “Chameleon of Pop”. The event coincides with the release of the David Bowie: A New Career in a New Town (1977–1982) box set, available from Parlophone Records as of September 29, 2017.

The David Bowie box set will be presented within this artistic setting, with drinks served while music from the new CD/LP collection plays in the background. In addition, guests will be able to meet Chris Duffy, the son of Bowie photographer, Brian Duffy, who passed away in 2010. Chris accompanied his father on the legendary photo sessions with Bowie, and also portrayed him himself.

Brian Duffy’s complete Bowie works are at the centre of the pieces on display. Both Lodger and Scary Monster – among the albums where Duffy collaborated with Bowie – have been remastered and are included in the box set.
