COMING SOON: LOBA 2017

02/25/2017, The submission phase for this year’s Leica Oskar Barnack Award starts on 1 March 2017. Once again, an international jury will select the 12 finalists for the Oskar Barnack Award as well as the Leica Oskar Barnack Award Newcomer.

This year’s jury members are Karin Rehn-Kaufmann, art director & chief representative at Leica Galleries International (Salzburg, Austria); Michelle Dunn Marsh, executive director at Photographic Center Northwest and publisher at Minor Matters Books (Seattle, USA); Christian Pohlert, managing picture editor at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Frankfurt, Germany); Douglas So, founder and director of the F11 Photo Museum (Hong Kong, China); and Scarlett Coten, photographer and winner of the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2016 (Paris, France).

The Leica Oskar Barnack Award, named in honour of the inventor of the 35mm camera, has been given out annually since 1980. Photographers are able to submit their entries for this 37th edition until 10 April 2017.
