The exhibition NOOR by NOOR – Award-winning Reportages of our Times will be on display at the ‘f3 – freiraum für fotografie’ gallery in Berlin from 15 June to 20 August 2017.

Named after the Arabic term for ‘light’, NOOR is a photography agency representing 13 of the world’s most acclaimed documentary photographers. Established in 2007, the agency is also run by its members. This unique collective now celebrates its tenth anniversary with the exhibition NOOR by NOOR, which is presented for the first time in a German venue.

With a focus on the topics of war and crisis, displacement and migration, climate change and women’s rights, the exhibition NOOR by NOOR presents a selection of 80 award-winning photographs and multimedia films: the devastating images of Yuri Kozyrev are featured along with Nina Berman’s Purple Hearts portrait series of wounded US veterans, as well as Bénédicte Kurzen’s series about sexual violence in Haiti. Pep Bonet’s project One Goal documents the legacy of the civil war in Sierra Leone, while Kadir van Lohuizen’s unnerving images highlight the impact of climate change in the Pacific Ocean, under the title of Where will we go?
