05/26/2017, The twentieth edition of the Photoespaña festival takes place in Madrid from 31 May to 27 August 2017, with further exhibitions in seven additional cities across Spain.
This year, the international festival for photography and visual arts offers a programme of 100 exhibitions featuring the work of 514 different artists. The main feature are six exhibitions by photographers Anders Petersen, Paulo Nozolino, Antoine d’Agata, Pierre Molinier, Karlheinz Weinberger and Teresa Margolles, presented by the festival’s curator Alberto García-Alix.
Further highlights of the richly varied programme include solo exhibitions by Gabriele Basilico, Elliott Erwitt, Peter Fraser, Cristina García Rodero and Carlos Saura, as well as major group exhibitions such as Eyes Wide Open! – 100 Years of Leica Photography.
