Numéro Berlin

Info

Diving butterflies: Christian Werner photographed German landscapes with a Leica M-P240 for the first issue of the luxury magazine Numéro Berlin. Accompanied by an essay on the charm of the charmless, Werner’s pictures reveal nature in Germany as known by most local people: bales of hay in fields of stubble, electricity lines over flat countryside, meadows, pine forests and wind power stations. With pictures where the obviously special is missing, the photographer conveys the idea that, wherever there is nature, a mystery awaits.
