Info

During the seventies, the photographer Yan Morvan spent nearly three years with some Paris bikers. Fascinated by this parallel world, Morvan – who was still a student at the time – documented their outings, their drinking bouts and their altercation with enemy gangs. It all began one day when Morvan met a biker in Paris and asked him if he could take his portrait. When he met the same biker again with his whole gang a couple of weeks later, Morvan took the opportunity to ask if he could accompany them during their daily routine. Thus began the project that was to become Morvan’s first professional work.
